Professional Comic Art Techniques for Young Creators

Step-by-step video adventures that build real illustration skills. Watch the trailer below:

Teaching kids to draw comics is more than handing them paper and markers.
It takes real technique, creative guidance, and lessons designed to meet young artists exactly where they're at so they're excited to draw, create, and tell their own stories. Earl's Art House teaches illustration fundamentals through the art of visual storytelling. From character design to comic creation.

Introducing...

unnamed-4.jpg
I'm a professional illustrator who's been teaching kids for over 10 years and I created Earl's Art House because every kid who loves comics deserves to learn how to actually make them.

Not just tracing or copying but designing their own characters, building exciting comic panels, and bringing their stories to life on the page.

Our video lessons break down the same techniques working comic artists use every day: character design, panel composition, visual storytelling but in a way that's clear, fun, and designed specifically for ages 8-10. Earl's there to guide every step, and kids create real comics they're proud to share.

From drawing basics through complete comic creation (and yes, even learning how real artists sell their work in Volume 3), we're here to turn "I wish I could draw comics" into "Look at the comic I made!"

Hey  Comic  Creators! I'm   Ella,  and   this is  Earl!

What  makes  us  different?

Real Comic Art Skills

Learn the techniques working comic artists actually use—character design, dynamic panels, and visual storytelling that brings your ideas to life.

Study the Pros

Along the way, we look at legendary illustrators like Norman Rockwell and Maurice Sendak. Not to copy them, but to learn what makes great visual storytelling work.

Make Actual Comics

This isn't just practice exercises. You'll create real characters, real comic strips, and a complete comic story you can share with friends and family.

What You'll Create By the End

Your young artist will:
  • Design original comic characters with personality and style
  • Create finished comic strips and complete stories they're proud of
  • Use professional illustration techniques (the real stuff!)
  • Understand what makes great comics work
  • Learn how real artists share and sell their creative work
  • Have the confidence to say "I'm a comic creator!"

Common  Questions

What ages is Earl's Art House designed for?

This course is best for ages 7-11, though younger artists who love to draw and older beginners are welcome! Lessons are self-paced so every student can work at their own level.

What materials do we need?

Just basic art supplies! Pencils, erasers, markers, colored pencils, and paper. We provide a complete supply list with Volume 1. Most families already have these materials at home.

How much time does each chapter require?

Video instruction runs 15-20 minutes per chapter. After watching, students spend 20-40 minutes on their own creative projects and practice activities. Most families complete one chapter per week, though you're welcome to move faster or slower based on your schedule.

Is this classical art instruction or comic/illustration focused?

This is specifically comic book art and illustration education, not traditional fine arts. We teach character design, panel layouts, visual storytelling, line variation, and color mood—the same techniques professional comic artists and illustrators use daily. If you're looking for watercolor landscapes or classical drawing, this isn't the course. If you want to create characters, comics, and visual stories, this is perfect!

Is this a subscription or one-time purchase?

One-time purchase with lifetime access. You pay once ($47) and own Volume 1 forever. No recurring charges, no expiration dates, no hidden fees. Access the videos and downloadables as many times as you want, whenever you want.

Can multiple children in our family share one purchase?

Absolutely! Your purchase provides access for your entire household. Each child can progress through the chapters independently at their own pace. Simply print multiple copies of the art challenge sheets so each student has their own materials.

How do we access the course after purchase?

Immediately after purchase, you'll receive login credentials for our course platform (Thinkific). Access works on computers, tablets, and smartphones. All videos stream online, and all printables (practice sheets, art challenges, guides) can be downloaded as PDFs.

What if my child has no art experience?

Perfect! Volume 1 assumes zero prior experience. We start with absolute fundamentals and build systematically. Spot and I guide students through every single step, explaining not just "what" to do but "why" it works. The course is specifically designed for beginners.

Do you offer refunds if it's not a good fit?

Yes! We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you or your child aren't satisfied with Volume 1 for any reason within 30 days of purchase, simply email us for a full refund—no questions asked.

When will Volume 2 and Volume 3 be available?

Volume 2 (Advanced Character Design) is scheduled for Spring 2026. Volume 3 (Illustration in the Real World) is scheduled for Summer 2026. Volume 1 purchasers will receive early access notifications and special launch pricing.
